NOCN: India-UK Skills Project

Mapping and matching India and UK skills organisations

Project Summary

NOCN is delivering a research project on behalf of the UK Government, to map UK institutions and organisations working in Skills development and which are delivering, or have the capacity to deliver, technical and implementation support for Skills development in India, either on their own or in collaboration with Indian institutions. NOCN is conducting the research in a joint venture with PublicCo, L&WI and NOCN India Skills Foundation.

Project sector scope:

  • Aerospace & Aviation
  • Automotive
  • Infrastructure: Building, Construction & Real Estate
  • Renewable Energy

Project analysis scope:

  • Organisational Analysis - to identify credible organisations in the four sectors, which have expertise in: training delivery, assessments, training trainers, training assessors, centres of excellence, curriculum development, training pedagogy, transnational standards, quality assurance and any other relevant skills development related initiatives.
  • Partnership Analysis Connect with appropriate skills specialists from the UK to understand their expertise and how they can work in India. Analyse the local India market to identify the relevant India stakeholders, including potential partners that could play a role through partnerships.

Project outputs:

NOCN is conducting research during December and January will contact relevant potential partner organisations in the UK and India during this time. At the end of January 2018, there will be events in Indian cities to showcase and promote India-UK partnership potential, followed by the final report to be presented to the Governments.
