Recruit apprentices who have been made redundant

Apprentices who have been made redundant may already have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to add value to your organisation. These apprentices can:

  • fill key skill gaps in your organisation or your existing apprenticeship vacancies
  • continue with their apprenticeship and build on their existing skills

We'll share your details with apprentices who are interested in your opportunity, so they can contact you directly.

Tell us about your apprenticeship opportunity.

We need to know about the apprenticeship, where it's based and how apprentices can contact you to apply.

A New ‘Redundancy Support Service for Apprentices’ is available for apprentices by calling 0800 015 0400.

Apprentices that have been made redundant

Contact your training provider if you’ve been made redundant because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Education and Skills Funding Agency are working with training providers to help apprentices find other employers and continue with their:

  • apprenticeships
  • end-point assessment

We aim to help find you alternative employment within 12 weeks.

Your training provider may still help you complete your apprenticeship training.

Contact the National Careers Service for information, advice and guidance to help you make decisions on learning, training and work.

Financial support

You may also be eligible to get Universal Credit or other benefits depending on your personal situation.

Contact Money Advice Service, National Debt Line or Citizens Advice for budgeting and money advice.

Additional Support

Contact Samaritans or Relate to talk to someone about how you’re coping with redundancy.
