Are you, or your front-line staff, thinking of becoming an end-point assessor for apprenticeships?

Webinar series for trainer-assessors: Preparing for your future role in apprenticeships

We've had a huge response to our five-part webinar series for trainer-assessors, preparing them for their new role in apprenticeships - so we're running it again.

In future, trainer-assessors will need to design training plans and delivery to meet the requirements of apprenticeship standards. You will need to integrate new assessment methods and grading into your training, and prepare the apprentice to meet the gateway and undertake end-point assessment.

The webinar series will guide you through the end-to-end process of the new role, what is required from you at each stage, and equip you with tools and resources to prepare and start delivery.

1.      Setting up the apprenticeship (15th Nov, 12.30-1.30)

·         How does the induction process differ in the new world of apprenticeships?

·         Working with the employer and apprentice to map out the training

2.      Developing individual training plans in-line with the standard (20th Nov, 12.30-1.30)

·         What are the components of an effective training plan?

·         When is assessment integrated?

·         How to deliver to the standard (not necessarily qualifications)

3.      Integrating assessment into the on-programme phase (29th Nov, 12.30-1.30)

·         Understanding and working with different assessment methods

·         How to naturally integrate these assessment methods into your training

4.      Working with grading (4th Dec, 12.30-1.30)

·         Getting apprentices familiar with graded work and assessments

·         Using grading as progress tool

·         How to grade apprentices in a way that reflects the end-point assessment

5.      Preparing your apprentice for the gateway (12th Dec, 12.30-1.30)

·         How to deal with different types of gateway criteria

·         Supporting apprentices to conduct activities that contribute to the EPA
