OVERVIEW

Our client is an established Training Provider organization who deliver funded Apprenticeships in niche sectors, to businesses throughout the UK. They run various ESF and ESFA funded contracts.

Due to ongoing expansion they have a new vacancy for a Quality Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing, developing and improving the quality assurance processes and associated policies across the business. 
  • Ensuring adherence with contractual requirements, legislation and funding regulations of the ESFA, OFSTED and other educational regulators. 

The Quality Manager will work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure all operational staff properly implement relevant procedures, standards & systems, facilitating and implementing progressional development and improvement in the performance and quality assurance practices of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development and delivery of quality assurance systems to ensure compliance with ESFA, DfE and OFSTED guidelines. 
  • To act as OFSTED nominee and inspection lead for future inspections and monitoring visits 
  • Conduct a profile of monitoring audits & file checks, across all provision to assist in identification and development of quality standards, and compliance with funding regulations. 
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working knowledge of all appropriate regulations, funding rules and legislations, ensuring that staff are advised of changes and receive training on appropriate updates. 
  • Quarterly review and development of the Quality Improvement Plan, to enable continual performance monitoring of the standards of Teaching & Learning across all provision. 
  • Assist the Senior Management Team in the annual SAR process, enabling continual review and development across all company processes, policies and procedures. 
  • Lead and deliver standardisation activities, in support of the continuous professional development of all delivery staff, championing and disseminating best practice in teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Conduct frequent observations of all teaching and learning in assurance of expected quality standards. 
  • Review, develop and implement robust policies and procedures across all provision. 
  • Collate and submit required funding and statistical returns to external agencies/funding bodies as required in line with associated timescales. 
  • Assist in the rectification and completion of require actions identified in any external validation or regulation reports, received by the business. 
  • Attend regional meetings and conferences within a network of professional contacts as required and deputise for management when required. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or equivalent in Functional Skills English & Maths 
  • IQA (V1, IQA, D34) Qualification 
  • Assessor (A1, D32/D33, TAQA) Qualification
  • Up to date Compliance and ESFA Funding training, including GDPR training.

Experience:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook,
  • Access, Excel, SharePoint) to manipulate data create and edit documentation.
  • Prior experience as an OFSTED Nominee, with an awareness of all associated requirements both pre & post inspection.
  • Strong working knowledge of ESFA funded programmes including Apprenticeship levy and non-levy.
  • Experience of mapping funding regulations into the practice of an organisation.
  • Significant experience of successfully leading teaching and learning within an education and training environment
  • Proven track record of organisational performance improvement 
  • Experience of leading and managing change effectively 
  • Experience in devised, organising and delivering high quality CPD 
  • Have extensive experience of working as an internal verifier 
  • Experience of internal verification across a range of SSA(s) in a similar organisation
