More About Class Careers

THE STORY BEHIND CLASS CAREERS...

Class Careers was set up in 2013 by Christos Orthodoxou who, in his then full-time role at Aston Business School, saw a severe disconnect between students and employers: neither were getting what they wanted from the other. After months of planning and drawing lines on bits of paper trying to properly connect one to the other... Class Careers was born

CLASS CAREERS AIMS TO END INEQUALITY IN CAREERS EDUCATION.

In an increasingly fast-paced world, schools must provide their students with up-to-date information on the labour market, as well as alternatives to university, and do so through ‘meaningful’ encounters with employers and employees. Employers simply do not have the time or resource to visit schools on a national basis, meaning that only students in their local area benefit, and other students, quite simply, miss out.

Class Careers aims to change that. Through our innovative and technology based approach, we serve to bridge the disconnect between young people in schools and colleges, and employers looking to develop their future workforce.

Our service is sponsored by Babcock International and provides a simple and effective alternative to school visits for both schools and employers.
