Career gets a boost with achievement of Business Administration qualification

A SUCCESSFUL Business Administration apprenticeship has given Chris Aldis a huge boost for his career prospects.

Developing a wider range of skills has led to him to become more efficient in his job as office manager at Suffolk-based Mildenhall Monumentals, so much so that he has now been promoted.

His confidence has also increased too, he says, since embarking on studies with Progress to Excellence Ltd to gain his Level 4 qualification.

Chris’ role at Mildenhall Monumentals, an independent business with more than 30 years’ experience in monumental masonry and letter cutting, involves him working with a small team in a process that takes them from initial consultation after a bereavement to the placement of the completed memorial.

With the need to establish very personal relationships with families, Chris takes on all the administration work for the company, meeting clients, taking telephone and e-mail inquiries, getting involved in the design of memorials and processing necessary applications.

Of his Progress to Excellence Ltd training journey, he said: “I had the most wonderful experience throughout the course; it challenged me but in an extremely productive way and I learned an immense amount. I had an extremely helpful and supportive assessor in Tina Wright who gave me brilliant guidance.

“I would definitely recommend the apprenticeship route with Progress to Excellence Ltd. The learning is extremely valuable and the knowledge gained crucial to improving day-to-day job performance. The company and assessors are very supportive and approachable too.”

Chris has now achieved his qualification and has loved the training so much that he is being kept up to date with courses he can take to increase his skills and further his career in the future.

He added: “I have enjoyed my course so much and I am genuinely sad that my Level 4 has been completed. If anyone was considering taking up a new qualification, I would encourage them without hesitation.”
