Job Description
Job Title: Learning & Development Specialist (Digital Business)
Reports to: Director of Apprenticeships
Location: LDN Apprenticeships HQ, Lansdowne, 278-280 South Lambeth Road, London, SW8 1U
Summary
The Learning and Development Specialist (LDS) will be responsible for the Induction, Support, Teaching & Learning and Assessment of allocated learners on an Apprenticeship. You will also be required to travel to various client offices to deliver assessments and training and support, as well as to observe learners and assess their competence to ensure successful completion of their Apprenticeship programme. You will use an e-portfolio system to assess work and give constructive feedback to the learners and manage their progress effectively. You will work closely with the Admin and Management Staff and the Admin and Management Staff to ensure timely completions and continuous improvement and development in the quality of provision. You will work with the Head of IQA to ensure all programmes are up to date and of high quality, and develop existing and new programmes to support the growth of the business.
Specialism Overview
The Digital Business LDS will be responsible for delivery of the digital pathway within Future LDN frameworks and the emerging Digital Apprenticeship Standards. The qualifications the framework consists of are the Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in IT and the Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The Standards are in development and will be delivered once approved.
We break down our Future LDN programmes into the following Digital Business Pathways:
· Digital Project Admin
· Digital Client Services
· Digital Finance
The units or Standards offered within these qualifications will principally cover IT communication tools, Microsoft Office packages, IT System use and analysis. The LDS may also be required to deliver functional skills workshops and testing sessions.
Apprentice Induction
· Deliver a comprehensive induction to all Apprentices and Managers to ensure they have a clear understanding of the Programme and assessment methods and are all ensuring there is opportunity and scope for the Apprentice to achieve safely and in a timely manner.
· Ensure that all funding paperwork is accurately completed. To include, but not limited to, completion of IAG sessions with candidates, ILP/PDP production and updating, progress reviews (signed by candidates).
