Our tutors bring subjects to life by providing up to - date knowledge and experience from the world of work. This was acknowledged by Ofsted with a Grade 2 ‘GOOD’ rating overall for the College, which identified that the College has excellent student behaviour and a friendly atmosphere. It also identified that courses meet the needs of learners very well as learners gain the skills they need for employment or to progress to further learning successfully.

Accountancy & Bookkeeping Apprentices study topics including double-entry bookkeeping, preparation of final accounts for the sole trader and partnership, costings, professional ethics, indirect tax and spreadsheets. They can also then go on to develop knowledge and skills to help in their career as a trainee accounting technician, assistant accountant an accounts manager or an accounting technician.
Business Administration Apprentices develop skills to handle the day-to-day tasks in an office to make sure organisations run smoothly. During this apprenticeship, they develop a range of transferable skills to use while working in your organisation to support a number of business functions.
Including: Children & Young People’s Workforce & Playwork Apprenticeships
Childcare Apprentices develop the skills and knowledge needed for a career working with young people including that of teaching assistant. They will make sure children are looked after, kept active, happy and nourished. You also help them develop social and practical skills. Apprentices can choose between 2 different apprenticeships either for working with 0-19 year olds or to specialise to work with 0-5 year olds.
Including Digital Marketer, IT Application Specialists & Infrastructure Technician
Computing Apprentices learn how to use software or hardware for their job role and use artwork, imaging software, spreadsheets, databases, word processing, internet and intranet systems. They learn to help staff and customers solve faults/technical problems and support end users.
Customer Service Apprentices will develop the skills to provide excellent customer service which is key to the success of your business or organisation. This vital skill is needed everywhere and covers all the extras that make a client’s experience better.
(Re-launching for 2018) Floristry Apprentices will gain an excellent introduction to a career in floristry. This will include practical techniques including gift-wrapping, hand-tied bouquets and arrangements. They will also have the opportunity to build up knowledge of the principles of floristry and retailing.
Including Adult Care Worker, Health & Social Care (Adults) for England
Health & Social Care Apprentices study how to help people with specific needs in their everyday lives including disabled or elderly people or those with learning disabilities. This type of care can include helping people complete their everyday lives through a number of tasks required in the workplace.
Including: Horticulture & Landscape Operative , Golf Greenkeeping, Sports Turf Operative, Environmental Conservationist.
Horticulture Apprentices study how to plan, create and maintain sports grounds, landscapes, parks and public gardens. They also study plant naming and hard landscaping as well as having the opportunity to gain two additional qualifications in First Aid and the Safe Use of Pesticides.
Teacher Training and Learner Support
Teacher Training & Learning Support Apprentices will learn the skills required by a Teaching Assistant, making sure pupils get the most out of their lessons. They will help to plan, carry out and evaluate a wide range of learning activities, working both alongside your existing teachers to support classroom activities, and alone with individuals or groups of students. Some learning support staff specialise in areas such as music or special needs. This course will help improve your employment prospects and enable you to work in a variety of childcare settings.
