The course had some issues, change of tutor and exam board part way through all of which outside of Sarah's control, she however helped me fill any knowledge gaps and ensure I was prepared for the exam process. She gave me all the support I needed and was faultless. The course is in its infancy hence the teething problems which did lead to some confidence issues and lack of conviction with my knowledge due to gaps in mentoring

Fantastic Apprenticeship, 100% remote with regular online lessons, moving to revision sessions when you are getting ready for EPA. My tutor was always available if I needed any additional help and support and made sure that I have all the information needed to succeed in my qualification.

I received fantastic support from Debby Seiles all the way through my training. Debby set aside time out of her busy schedule to help in 121 sessions. Really helped to pinpoint where I was struggling and gave me great direction and supporting material to ensure I had the right level of support to get over the line on both English and Maths.

Thanks to Debby for her support and encouragement that enabled me to pass both Maths and English. She tailored learning sessions to suit my style of learning. I was given the choice to attend group or 1-2-1 learning sessions so I could work towards feeling ready to take the external exams. I'm currently doing a level 3 in Facilities Management and have found the course to be great.
As part of the course I have had to redo my Maths and English.
I really struggled with the maths, and have questioned if I have Dyscalculia.
The support from Debby and Gifty has been second to non.
I have had so many math session, either as a group or as one to one, and eventually I gained the pass mark that I required.

She was helpful and responsive, her relaxed manner helped to put me at ease and her gentle encouragement and motivation was ideal to ensure my success. The training I received from Sarah was really really good. She was very helpful, the lessons we had were very enjoyable and she explained everything clearly and always was there when needed. She always got back to you quickly if you had any concerns and always made sure you were 100% confident before moving on to the next unit. I’m doing a care apprenticeship through Smart, it was a bit tricky to begin with, but after a change in advisor it’s been great. I’m learning a lot of things relevant to my work. My advisor is very helpful, making sure I’m aware of where I am in the process and what I have to concentrate on, and is very responsive; if I ask her a question, she will get back to me very quickly.

I have completed a Lv 3 Payroll Admin course which was across the last 14-16 months while working as a Payroll Assistant. The course would consist of around 1-1:30 hours of 1 to 1 tutoring via teams and then coursework/researching what you have learnt in your class in further detail every 2/3 weeks depending on your own personal schedule. After going through the different modules, you then have 3 exams, Multiple choice, Role Sim (Open ended questions and payroll calculations) and Personal Discussion (talking with an invigilator and answering questions The things I have learnt I use every single day and it helps you understand things in much more detail. I had Sarah Elizabeth as my tutor and I have previous education through school, college, university, and this is by far the best teaching I have had, nothing comes close. Would highly recommend.

I learned a lot through the teachings I received from Sarah. She always answered any questions/queries I asked regardless of if they were in a booked teaching slot or not. She ensured I was adequately prepared for my EPA before I started it to increase my chances of succession. The only issue with the course is some of the teachings are a little late. This is due to working in a bureau I am required to learn a lot of information early on in my career meaning that for some topics I already have a solid understanding. However I think this course would be perfect for an inhouse payroll apprentice or training prior to working in a bureau.

I really enjoyed doing this qualification, my trainer was amazing & really helped me with everything. She was very understanding if i had to cancel or rearrange appointments at the last minute due to work or childcare problems. It was hard having to do it all over zoom instead of in person but that was due to the pandemic. I would definitely recommend this qualification to anyone i talk to. I had a bit of a rocky start with this training, and found that there was a lot of activities that needed my attention. I did explains my current situation and still found that I was not being listened to, since having my new assessor Samantha Vernon, I have found this to be more within my time frame and have been able to complete tasks within a reasonable time frame.

I would definitely recommend SMART TRAINING to those wishing to learn and work towards a qualification, specifically my TA who was Sarah, she was always available to reach out to even when we had not arranged a meeting/discussion. Over the year and few months I have really progressed in my training and ability to answer questions and use the resources given. I really enjoy doing Maths and English functional skills sessions because it sets me up to learn in a completely different way. It's all online but the trainers are great and really understanding of my learning difficulties in maths. I feel very comfortable asking all sorts of questions because the trainers are really helpful and also sympathise with each individual. I have never felt singled out in sessions, everyone is taking part and helping each other.

We have been particularly impressed by the proficiency of our SMART training 'Business Development Consultant' and would recommend the company based on her support alone.
Sian is prompt to respond, always gives detailed and no-nonsense clear guidance; she has a warm and friendly approach and always provides the information we need. Indeed we looked at several training providers prior to using SMART and the way in which Sian quickly built great rapport with us, was the reason we chose the company.
The review and monitoring process is scheduled clearly and helps provide good structure to the progression of our candidates. When we have been asked for extra support to prompt our candidates with their learning needs, this has always been delivered quickly and to a great standard.

We have recently started a working relationship with SMART Training who are currently delivering their Level 3 Team leader / Supervisor Apprenticeship & Level 5 Operational Departmental Apprenticeship standard training modules. We have 21 employees enrolled and are due to complete these courses towards the end of 2022.
We have received great feedback from our delegates who are really engaged and enjoying the course so far. The courses are currently being delivered virtually (due to the pandemic) but there is also the option of incorporating a 'blended' learning approach including classroom based training also.
SMART training are always really easy to reach out to if any issues/questions are raised and Sian has been really helpful in her guidance and support throughout so far.

So far since starting this course i have found it really challenging at times pushing me to my limits. This has worked to my benefit as it has taken me out of my comfort zone. Covid has not made things easy and being a mum of 3 in a very demanding job. But having Vicky has been very helpful she is very attentive when am struggling and need extra help. She gives me the right push to push myself so i can do better. The resource have been full of information that makes it easier to understand the work at hand.
My journey is going well so far but its been had at times especially when work at the office piles up and in the field. Through all this i have maintained a good working relationship with Vicky updating her on what will be going on and she has been very supportive.

Although a very detailed course, I feel I have had the support from my Primary Training Advisor (John O'Callaghan) from Day 1 of the course. He has guided me through some tricky understanding of the tasks and explained them to me in simple terms when the question has been written in a complex manner.
John even went above and beyond, especially when he came to visit me in my place of work which boosted my confidence even more, as even during these unprecedented times, the physical interaction was invaluable to me as I may be a littler older than some of the other individuals taking these course. My assessor is Vicky. Ive got 1 month until my end date, Vicky has been wonderful to chat to, i've got quite a chaotic home life and have enjoyed our chats when on teams. Vicky is very knowledgeable and has helped me understand parts of my level 3 where i have struggled.

I am enjoying my course but I don't think I have learnt much as of yet. I think the content is good but wish we could complete more than two hours. I have found previous ILM courses better due to being able to spend more time on subjects. I find I can learn more when I have time to study a subject myself in more depth but is sometimes quite hard due to work commitments. Not SMART's fault. On the plus side it is always good to go over content I know refreshing my knowledge of this. You always learn more on with time spent job experience anyway. There have been a lot of teething problems with communication through Webex, again not the fault of SMART but Egger. I have been a little disappointed with the communication between me and my tutor but I fully understand that I am not the only student he is helping and completely understand the time factors with juggling several jobs. I feel the communication will be better once I get further into the course and is has already improved.

I used smart training to not only recruit my new apprentices but to complete my level 5 health and social care. I had rash-up to recruit who was amazing with the process and I have Victoria Thorton as an assessor and she is by far the best. Victoria is easy going and understands juggling a manager job apprentices and a level 5 and helps me with any queries I have.

Victoria Thornton( Vicky) Possesses tremendous insight of Adult Care Apprenticeship. She is very knowledgeable in every aspect of the Adult Care Apprenticeship Qualifications. Vicky is very skilled at providing clear and thorough explanations. Vicky's explanations enables me to understand and really grasp information which were previously confusing for me- simply put her explanations makes sense and make abstract topics more conceptual and clearer. Vicky is very professional, insightful and adaptable/receptive to individual learner's needs. My sessions with Vicky are always something I look forward to because I know how helpful they will be. Vicky is always available when you need her, her swifts response to messages is beyond effective. No matter what your previous study plan has been, Vicky has the know-how to get you on the right track. I highly recommend Vicky if you want to be successful in your Apprenticeship.

I have found it really helpful having everything in one place so I can clearly see where I am at with my diploma. My assessor is on hand to help and ask questions. We meet regularly to discuss how I am doing and she will also give constructive criticism if needed. She really wants you to do well which is nice.

Having recently completed my NVQ level 2 in adult social care I can say I passed with distinction thanks to the support from Vicky.
Vicky encouraged and supported me right from the start to the finish, she was always just a text, email or phone call away at any time.

I have worked with John O'Callaghan for the past 6 months, he has been a massive help in keeping me on track to passing my Level 5 Operational Management course. I have worked with Smart for just over a year now and I have found the 12 months support from Sian and colleagues to be one of the best I have experienced from an external provider.
Sian- as our Business Development Consultant, is great. She keeps in touch throughout the learner journey, her knowledge of the apprenticeships industry is unrivalled. I do value her support and cannot thank her enough.
Melissa is a great TA. So approachable and happy to pick up a call whenever I need her.
I think the key area they all excel in is always being available, should we need them. From a supportive & reliable point of view it's just what we need.

From the moment I completed my qualification my working life blossomed, so many new opportunities opened up for me and still continue to do so. I can honestly say that taking on this qualification was one of the best things I’ve ever done, it has really kick started my career and I am still very thankful for the opportunity.

My tutor Sarah Elizabeth has been nothing short of amazing- she has from the beginning gone out of her way to to help prep for what initially seemed an impossible exam and stuck with me until I finally got through it, she had bucket loads of patience with me and even helped me out during non working days i.e weekends!

I think the teaching sessions are good, I preferred the smaller groups as i feel like there was more detail and we are able to ask more questions but understand why there is now bigger classes so cant complain. However i feel like the tasks are very vague. I would prefer to have a more specified criteria of what to complete in the tasks and what units we have to cover. I would also prefer to have more criteria of my work. For example if my research was good, why? or where i can improve. More importantly I still have no idea about the end point assessments and how to prepare for them. What is incorporated in the professional discussion and how can i practice them.

Vicky has supported me throughout my apprenticeship. There were times when I thought of giving up but she was there encouraging. I was not familiar with computers and she helped me through. Even with covid 19 they have always kept in touch to help keep me on track.

I was a little jubious about doing this course in the beginning but i have to say it got better throughout.
I did struggle in the beginning as it was at the start of the Pandemic and I was given a few different tutors throughout my course.
I feel this did not help me in the beginning but i have to say my last tutor (Claire Amos) was the best fit for me and i felt extremely comfortable with her. She understood my learning style and helped guide me when i struggled with something.
I feel if i had been given Claire as my tutor in the beginning, i would have got thorugh the course much easier than i did.
Overall, i enjoyed the course and it has added another string to my bow.

Firstly i undertook a CAVA assessor qualification with SMART they have been excellent throughout the process offering support and guidance. I started my level 5 in March, quite reluctantly, after completing my level 3 with a different company a few years previously and having a really bad experience with it. Upon signing up, Michelle one of the managers contacted me quickly to introduce me to my assessor. Vicky has been a huge help and is a perfeft balance between firm and friendly; keeping me on track and giving me support when I needed it.

Starting Health and Social Care Level 3 through the Covid-19 has been going well with my trainer, resources and the tasks given. Doing Zoom calls every few weeks and when I need some advice, my trainer is on the other end of the phone and can quickly jump on Zoom to chat.
Very understanding with my current situation as well.

I start my Apprenticeship programmes with Smart Training this year 2020, with the uncertainty of COVID 19 i can't stop worrying and having doubts in mind on how my learning would be without a face to face meeting. My Assessor was extremely supportive and we had session via zoom. Even though we have not met face to face she has such a welcoming approach that makes me feel at eased,enjoyed the assessment sessions and I am definitely gaining knowledge.

I have just completed my Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration. I really enjoyed the course and my advisor, Robert Highmore was super helpful and informative the whole way through. The final few months of my apprenticeship were during the pandemic and I was so impressed by the unfaltering support I received through remote meetings and emails. During COVID19 I was uncertain about how my qualification would continue but my Training Advisor was extremely supportive & we communicated a lot to make sure I was progressing, Having video sessions meant I could really focus on my qualification and not worry about falling behind especially with the lockdown.

Through my Journey of my diploma level 5, Deana Young, my training adviser has been very inspiring and shown keen enthusiasm supporting my progression through the level 5. The last position I had, i was not supported in my working role, my first training adviser was not fully aware of how to support and I was beginning to loose hope of my own career development. Making a decision to accept a deputy role within a different setting, i gained full support to develop my skills and embed the knowledge I was learning. I would recommend Smart Training to anybody in health and social care or within a different trade. I have had a lot of training and development with good feedback on my work. Completing the apprenticeship, i have learnt more about my working role and positive risk taking. I completed quite a lot of learning sessions regarding duty of care, how to support and recognizing diversity. My learning through the apprenticeship has now aspired me to complete further training on medication administration.
Deana Young, my training adviser gave me a lot of guidance through my course, I feel i have matured throughout the process and have more of a clear understanding supporting people. Deana inspired me to be a better person and believe more in myself.

After 19 Months I have finally completed diploma level 5 with the full support of Michelle, who became my assessor in the last couple of months, from this point I made great progress and regained by interest in the Diploma. My responses are not based on the last couple of months, if I had the same assessor at the start of the diploma the results would show 5 across the board.

During my apprenticeship, I changed working roles and now work in the community. I have various service users who have communication needs and I am really pleased I learnt more through completing communication units within my diploma and apprenticeship. I have learnt how to support individuals to maintain an independent life and how to support families in the community.
I completed my functional skills and would like to progress further with my math and English. Possibly look into completed the advanced apprenticeship.
Deana Young was my training adviser. She was my Savior when I went through difficult times and encouraged me to keep learning and developing my knowledge. Deana taught me more about active listening and never to give on my dreams of being a registered nurse.

Deana told me to study and learn from using the books and internet because it helped me understand more English. Deana made me welcome on each visit and I felt lesser scared and stressed to complete the session. Deana was helping me with writing and spelling. I know myself this is a weak area for me. Over the year, my spelling has improved and the way I choose the correct words in a sentence. Deana gave me a lot of advice and information. We spoke about culture, about families in the UK and I do like Deana because she listened to me speaking about my country and my culture. I felt more relaxed and confident Deana listened to my experiences. I would recommend Smart Training to everyone who wants to complete a qualification at Smart.

My journey has been very hectic through the apprenticeship which has made learning very difficult. I have experienced personal problems and this has had an impact on the way i have been able to develop my skills and learn. Deana Young from Smart Training and Recruitment has adjusted her diary so many times to ensure i have been able to progress. Deana has helped me so much to improve both my learning in Dementia and also within my new role, supporting individuals with learning disabilities. Deana has been a training adviser, counselor to me and given advice when I have required it most. Deana has shown me i can accomplish qualifications and my confidence to progress through my career in learning disabilities. I would like to now challenge myself to a level 3 diploma and hopefully continue to improve my knowledge and confidence gaining higher qualifications.

I have been working with my training adviser, Deana Young in order for me to progress through my apprenticeship. I am really happy with the service i receive. Deana understands my learning needs and encourages me to learn new elements of my diploma. I found at first my online portfolio stressful to use but I am more confident locating information. Deana showed I could learn in a simpler form for English writing and she really gave good examples where i could learn how to use paragraphs and write my meanings down. I have learnt more about laws and how these have embedded into my working role. Deana has explained British Values and how i can make sure residents feel they can partake in choices and be recognised for their individuality.

I work in a home supporting drugs and alcohol and korsafkoff dementia. Through my experiences with Smart Training and Recruitment, I have found my training adviser Deana Young to be easy to get on with. Deana has worked with me through development of my weaknesses into strengths and constantly praises my abilities in my work role. I feel i have learnt a great deal of information and previously i have not retained information as well as i wanted to. Deana changed the way she taught me in order for me to remember various information. I will always be a doer and practical in my learning. I completed my level 2 apprenticeship with Smart and I really enjoyed completing with my training adviser, Deana Young. I thought about my progression and my manager has been very supportive in order for me to move onto the level 3. I know I will learn and develop my knowledge and practice. Beeing what you may call a mature student, I have to say without my teacher/coach Debbie I could not have done this course, she was a helpful and very patient teacher. Throughout my 1 year long apprenticeship with SMART training I received a high level of support and guidance with my qualification. This meant that I felt a lot more relaxed and was able to focus on my work rather than worrying about it. There was a noticeable difference in my results say the least. I am now in full-time employment and am happy I had the opportunity to do the qualification and to have a dedicated assessor. I'm thinking about taking another course for team management in the near future with SMART.

I started my NVQ 3 last year and upon completion I have learnt so many different aspects to the qualification.
Michelle has always been amazing with me and has helped me along the whole journey, I would like to thank Smart Training for all they have done and helping me along on my way.
I completed my level 3 within my time frame and I am so happy in my self for completing this. I am an experienced senior carer with 6 years behind me and Michelle has helped me to grow this by always being on the other end of the phone if I ever needed help.

Currently in my fourth month of my apprenticeship. I am enjoying and learning lots; My mentor Andrew is very supportive and the teaching is excellent. My Manager is also very helpful and friendly in always assisting me in anything I need help with. Although the apprenticeship seems like it is going to be long; I am enjoying every new experience and learning new skills. I would definitely recommend this apprenticeship company and also anyone who wants to do an apprenticeship go for it as It is not just hard work but also rewarding.

I completed Level 3 in Business Administration 2 Years ago and as I have moved up in my role at work I have progressed onto Level 3 in Management and Team Leading. The courses are relevant to my job role and by doing the course alongside my job it has helped my develop and broaden my knowledge and understanding.
My past and present training advisors have been really helpful and encouraging, they have the knowledge to assist with all parts of the course and in my job as well. I would highly recommend a Smart Training course!

I believe SMART has helped me develop in my career and since starting my first course 5 years ago, I have received 3 different promotions within the company I currently work for. I feel SMART has helped me learn more about my role/s than I would have learned on my own.
When I was at school, I completed my A Levels and did not obtain very good grades. By completing SMART courses, I gained qualifications I never thought I would get and I received a fresh opportunity to broaden my knowledge and skills and become more desirable to other employers. I did not think I would get that chance again after leaving school.

From discovering Smart to this very day my whole experience has been wonderful and certainly didn't feel like I was going back to school like I thought it would. I have just undertaken a Level 3 in Business Administration and heave learnt so much more than 'just a course'. I thoroughly enjoyed my course with Smart and was surprised at how much of it was now online (which is so much easier!) I didn't think I would learn a lot where I am already in a Management role however was surprised at the tools and techniques I learnt and have integrated into my team. Im about two thirds of the way through my Level 3 and am loving it!!!! Lost my motivation earlier in the summer, but with Lindsay my trainer encouraging me to continue, I'm now back on track and enjoying the course again! Its a really easy way to learn new skills and techniques ,which will hopefully help me to progress in my career in Catering and Hospitality.

Smart Training are an excellent resource for small to medium sized businesses. They provide a great selection of candidates and are very proactive and hands on when it comes to finalising all aspects of the onboarding process.
I have also been impressed with the after care / follow up by Hazel McKinlay at Smart, she regularly visits our Apprentices to ensure they are on target to achieve the best that they can in the workplace.

As an Employer, I have so far had the pleasure of working with Smart Training and Recruitment Ltd ("Smart") in the training of two of our apprentices. Throughout that time, I have been very pleased with the service provided and have found the support and help offered to our apprentices (particularly by Hazel McKinlay of Smart) has been second to none. Hazel went above and beyond what was required including helping and supporting them outside of her normal working hours which I and particularly the apprentices really appreciated. Her endeavours to help them and ensure they are on the right tracks and develop into responsible young adults going forward have been very impressive. I also found Smart to be an easy organisation to deal with. They seem to be well set up and based on my experiences of them to-date, I would recommend them to any organisation who are considering taking on an apprentice.

I have gained a whole heap of knowledge that will further help develop my career. In opposition to other companies my assessor has really in depth personal experience, for example a previous supplier provided our assessor from the building trade who knew nothing of the sectors in which my colleagues and I were pursuing. Not only has Pippa made me tap into my own knowledge she has developed it and continues to do so. For the first time in my adult life I am going to complete and achieve a further education qualifications. As a single mother of 2 children at 32 years of age, I will say I had resigned myself to my current position being “my lot in life ” . Dare I say I’m even giving a lot of thought to do my level 4.

Doing my NVQ Level 3 management has improved our business no end and continues to do so. It has allowed us to look at our business and revisit policies and procedures ensuring we are compliant in all areas. Things which after time I think you can easily become complacent about. . Having started no less than 3 various NVQ’s in my adult life I have dropped them all quite early on due to lack of support and guidance offered by the supplier, which is something I believed I required in abundance. I’m now 83% complete, Ict passed, maths taken and all work books complete. This is down to Pippa and the support and guidance received from Smart.

i signed up for this course in june 2016 as suggested by my catering manager my trainer was rosemary Harrison from day one she was very professional in going through everything in fine detail and what the course would invove she explained ther would be maths involved and I expressed my concerns rose was fantastic with her support I finally completed my n v q on the 20 th of November 2017 I was so happy to have completed my course and I look forward to etting my certificates I would recommend this course to anyone and I cannot thank rose enough for all her support
